Highlights

  • The question paper consists of 150 questions. Candidates who complete 150 questions in three hours, will get a chance to solve 12 extra questions.
  • The exam is for three hours and has objective Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Questions are selected at random from a large question bank so that each candidate receives a different set of questions
  • Each question has four options and only one answer is correct.
  • Candidates can change their answer for a question as they are giving the test.
  • There is negative marking in the BITSAT exam
  • No time limit to complete each section of the exam
  • After answering all 150 questions in the main section, a student is allowed to attempt 12 extra questions. No extra time is given to answer these questions.
  • Students should only attempt the extra questions if they have at least 20 minutes left in the three-hour duration.
  • Candidates need to keep in mind that once they enter this section, they cannot revert and change their answers in the first section.
  • This section has four questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  • Marking scheme remains the same: 3 marks for every right answer and negative 1 for every wrong answer.
